I hope the information you find here will spur you on toward planning the safest, happiest, and most satisfying birth you can have. I believe this is important and, in its own small way, will change the world. Imagine–if every baby were thoroughly and lovingly welcomed, and every birth the intimate, private, and loving affair it should be. Perhaps our imperfect world would lean more toward perfection, at least for those few precious moments. There’s no doubt in my mind that the birth of a child is a highly significant event in the life of the child, the mother, and the family. We are immensely grateful when it can happen this way, in the calm and tender setting of the family home. And yet we are just as grateful even when it doesn’t. Our focus is not on the experience, but on the totality of this fundamental change in the world: a new person. It is my honor to witness this more often than most, and to be in awe each and every time. Thank you to my clients for that honor.
Leslie, I’m SO happy the website is ready, and my family will be so happy to learn more from it as well. I can’t wait to see how this space unfolds … and of course, how the life of our new little family unfolds as well.

I am so glad that there is a good Midwife in town. I personally feel like if there isn’t a home birth midwife around, that they shouldn’t call themselves a real midwife! I will be very glad to get to know her more in the coming months and years as I have my baby and train under her too in the future I hope. I’m glad she has a website, as it was rather hard finding her in the phonebook. . .she’s not in mine. Good job Leslie, and keep it up.
